Item type:Publication, Valoración diferenciada de la diversidad epistémica en una experiencia de formación técnico-productiva en los Andes peruanos(Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, 2023-01-01)With this article and through an ethnographic case, I seek to discuss the suitability of the dichotomy between modernity/otherness as an axis of political relevance for subordinate knowledge within development educational projects. I question how, within the concrete experience of developing subjects, they construct assessment parameters for different cultural knowledges. I culturally and ethnographically analyze the case of an educational institution in the Peruvian Andes where young people of rural origin study the technical career of Farming Production. That is to say, they are educated within a farming production expert perspective whose knowledge goals coexist and interact with traditional rural production knowledge. I argue that though this creates an epistemic subordination scheme, this subordination is unstable and includes fractures from where we can evaluate rural knowledge. However, these don’t necessarily imply a form of resistance against modernity. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Impacts of Digital Inclusion on the Development and Sustainability of Rural Women's Ventures: A Scoping Review(2025-04-14)entrepreneurial ventures will be conducted through an open coding process. This approach enables the systematic identification, categorization, and analysis of concepts and patterns found within the full texts of the selected documents. The coding results will be documented in a spreadsheet that will include the following fields: article information, research objective, methodology, identified effects, business process in which the effect is documented, results obtained, main conclusions, and limitations. For this review, the presentation of the findings will be limited to a bibliometric analysis and the synthesis of evidence through qualitative extraction.4 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Structural Constraints and Institutional Support in Agricultural Production Systems: Evidence from Farmers in Northern Mexico(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), 2026-04-01)This study examines how structural constraints and institutional support are associated with the configuration of agricultural production systems in Durango, Mexico. Using survey data from 362 farmers, multidimensional indices capturing productive restrictions, export barriers, technification gaps, and support needs were constructed using binary indicators and normalized to a 0–1 scale, with internal consistency assessed through the Kuder–Richardson coefficient. To analyze structural dynamics, Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and fractional logit models were used to estimate determinants of structural pressure, while a logistic regression model was applied to examine differences in structural positioning across production regimes identified through cluster analysis. The results show that larger productive scale is associated with higher exposure to regulatory and commercialization pressures, indicating that farm expansion tends to coincide with increased structural complexity rather than automatic improvements in structural conditions. More importantly, institutional linkage remains positively and statistically significant in the logistic model (OR = 9.085; p = 0.015), even after controlling for technification, structural constraints, export barriers, labor intensity, and farming experience. These findings indicate that institutional connectivity is positively associated with differentiated structural configurations among production units and are consistent with the interpretation that institutional support is associated with variation in structural conditions in semi-arid agricultural systems, beyond the effects of technological endowment or scale alone.1
