    Memoria de eventos y personajes históricos y su relación con la identidad nacional en jóvenes universitarios y cadetes de formación castrense en el Perú
    (Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, 2020-11-01)
    This study aims to describe the relationship among the memory of historical events and characters and the Peruvian national identity by comparing responses obtained from cadets from a naval school (n= 113), cadets from a military school (n= 118) and students from a private university in Lima (n= 115). The results show a more positive evaluation of the history and greater levels of identification with Peru in cadets of both military educational institutions, compared to university students. These findings suggest the relevance of historical narratives transmitted in academically forming institutions as sources of storytelling biases according with military or civic traditions, and how these representations are related to national identity.

    El poder en la constitución cultural del espacio semiótico
    (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, 2026-01-01)
    Este artículo indaga en los compromisos epistemológicos del poder en la semiótica de la cultura, enfocándose en la semiosfera de Iuri Lotman. La semiosfera estructura la tensión entre centro y periferia, donde el poder regula la producción de sentido. Sin embargo, no siempre se ha examinado la noción de poder que subyace en esta configuración. Para ello, se contextualiza el debate sobre el poder desde la década de 1980, considerando a Foucault, Wartenberg y Brandom. Se cuestiona si el poder en la semiosfera se reduce a la dominación centralizada o si permite otras formas de articulación. Finalmente, se analizan los alcances y límites de Lotman respecto a la semiótica estructural, destacando su aporte a la comprensión del poder como fenómeno constitutivo de la agencia y la acción social.

    Cavalheiros em uniforme. Futebol, nacionalismo e rivalidade ritualizada entre Peru e Chile, 1932-1933
    (Universidad Nacional de Colombia::will be referenced::ROR-ID, 2025-12-31)
    Objective: To historically analyze how, during the early 1930s, a football rivalry between Peru and Chile was consolidated, combining elements of sporting competition and gestures of diplomatic rapprochement, promoted through the symbolic field of sport. Methodology: Using primary (press from both countries) and secondary sources, the study employs the historical method and documentary review to analyze how Colo Colo's international tours functioned as catalysts for national discourses about playing style, allowing the Peruvian press to construct an image of its own football identity vis-à-vis the Chilean press. Originality: The article provides a little-explored perspective on this rivalry before the first official match between their national teams. Thus, it proposes the concept of “gentlemanly amateurism” as a key to understanding the sporting ethos of the period and examines how journalistic discourse not only chronicled but also shaped a style of play valued aesthetically and as a form of identity by fans. Conclusions: Soccer operated as a space for paradiplomacy, promoting symbolic reconciliation after the signing of the Treaty of Lima; however, this reconciliation did not eliminate tensions, but rather reconfigured them in a ritualized manner. The study reveals how sports discourses can convey narratives of national identity that endure over time.
