Item type:Publication, Impacto de las cláusulas de transferencia tecnológica e innovación en los acuerdos comerciales regionales(Universidade de Sao Paolo, 2023-01-01)International trade is one of the main vehicles to promote the technology transfer as it contributes to the generation of new products with greater added value, expanding export opportunities and diversification, as well as the insertion of domestic companies in global value chains. This article seeks to determine the impact of the technology related provisions in the main trade agreements that are signed by Latin America and the Caribbean countries in the last 20 years on the level of exports, particularly on the export of goods in technology-intensive sectors. It attempts to analyze whether this effect varies between North-South and South-South trade agreements, especially in the case of the Pacific Alliance. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Human Development, Productivity, and Economic Growth(Taylor & Francis, 2025-01-01)We analyse the relationship between human development, productivity and economic growth. We found empirical evidence that supports the hypothesis that there is a direct causality relationship between human development and total factor productivity, a direct relationship of productivity growth on economic growth for the Peruvian economy in the period 1990-2019, and a cointegration relationship in the long-term. Our approach recommends human development and productivity policies in a free market economy, investments that expand innovation capabilities, productive and technological diversification for the development of the internal market, and the strengthening of social and institutional capital, creating an environment with a better quality of life to increase productivity and achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth in a capitalist and democratic economy.2
