Productive-prosociality, tensions of a solidarity-based entrepreneurial subjectivity: A study with Peruvian social entrepreneurs

Agriculture and climate change. Impacts on livelihood subsystems in the Central Andes of Peru
    (Wydawnictwo UMCS, 2022-06-03)
Climate change is a process that is affecting the daily living of societies in the world, especially because it disturbs the behavior of the ecosystems that support life. Agriculture is central to our existence and the effects of climate changes on crop productivity are already being studied with specific recommendations such as those given by FAO for tropical and mountain regions. This time, a rapprochement will be made to the impacts of climate change on subsystems related to subsistence food production and strategies that could be adopted to improve the economic income of its practitioners. Reference will be made to what happens in the Central Andes, especially in Peru, where, according to the 2012 National Agricultural Census, there are 68% of agricultural units from 0.1 to 5.0 hectares affecting 1,231,000 households. The objective is to show that there is a significant number of rural families that must also be considered in efforts to improve their quality of life that can be homogenized with that of the rest of Peruvian society. The development policies of family farming do not take into consideration subsistence farmers with agricultural units under three hectares, however, they should be included in the development agenda to ensure their sustainability against risks, such as climate change. The methodology of this research is deductive-inductive based on written documents and field experiences in different parts of the Peruvian mountains.

(National Autonomous University of Mexico, 2022-08-03)

Background: Higher education, especially in business, stands out as a crucial means to promote professional action focused on sustainability, emphasizing the need for innovative pedagogical approaches and teaching strategies. The aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of business university professors concerning the most effective teaching and learning methodologies for fostering sustainability awarenessamong their students. Method: This exploratory qualitative study, employs convenience sampling to select and interview 19 outstanding professors from a private accredited university in Lima, Peru. Results: The professors emphasize the importance of a cross-cutting and ongoing integration of sustainability-related content into the curriculum. Additionally, they place value on the utilization of experiential learning methodologies and the cultivation of dialogue and reflexivity regarding the future roles of their students as organizational leaders who champion more conscientious and sustainable modes of production. Conclusions: sustainability education in business careers makes sense to the extent that the behavior adopted by future business leaders will depend on the success in the implementation of more conscious and sustainable modes of production. However, for this training to be effective, adaptations are needed in the design of curricula and in the traditional way of conducting the teachinglearning processes in the classroom, migrating from teachercentered approaches to student-centered methodological approaches.

Repensando la enseñanza del derecho ambiental
    (2026-04-27)
The Environmental Legal Clinics (CJA, for its acronym in Spanish) constitute a paradigm shift in environmental legal education, connecting academic formation with social and environmental commitment through action. From the PUCP experience, the approach of real cases foments a focus on sustainability and the development of competencies and skills. This methodology promotes an interdisciplinary and systemic legal formation, where law is a tool to impact reality, transcending the classroom, and contributing to environmental justice. In addition to the advantages of the clinical methodology, there is an important potential for growth and consolidation, although it also faces several challenges.
