Item type:Publication, Overview of the Impact of Project Portfolio Management on Firms Performance(RELX Group (Netherlands), 2020-01-01)The objective of this paper is to explore and analyze previous research about the relationship between project portfolio management success and business performance. In order to analyze this relationship, a systematic literature review was performed on scientific databases related to the area of management using inclusion and exclusion criteria defined according to the objective of this literature review. The study found 940 articles and after a comprehensive review 66 were selected. From these articles, we can observe that the relationship of portfolio management and firm performance, although several researchers from different perspectives have covered it, still presents many fields of research. Most of the previous research is based on case studies in medium sized enterprises stating the need for quantitative research that allows to generalize results and also research of the impact of project portfolio management in SMEs. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Designing a Framework for E-Government Adoption in Peruvian State Enterprises Using COBIT 5.0(European Organization for Nuclear Research, 2020-08-19)As part of the regulatory compliance process and the streamlining of public administration, the Peruvian government has implemented the National E-Government Plan in all state institutions with the aim of providing citizens with solid services based on the use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). As part of the regulations, the requisites to be met by public institutions have been submitted. However, the lack of an implementation model was detected, one that can serve as a guide to such institutions in order to materialize the organizational and technological structures needed, which allow them to provide the required digital services. This paper develops an implementation model of electronic government (egovernment) for Peru's state institutions, in compliance with current regulations based on a COBIT 5.0 framework. Furthermore, the paper introduces phase 1 of this model: business and IT goals, the goals cascade and the future model of processes - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, Burning witches: the moral dilemmas of Ashaninka leaders(Florida Gulf Coast University, 2021-01-01)This paper focuses on the moral reasoning of Ashaninka leaders about the burning of witches, a cultural practice that has received scant attention from intercultural scholars. We first contextualize burning witches as a cultural practice of the Ashaninka people. Then, based on qualitative interviews, we present the experience of six Ashaninka leaders with witchcraft and witchcraft accusations, as well as their moral reasoning about the social mechanisms that the Ashaninka people have traditionally used to control evil sorcery. The participants are three men and three women from the Ucayali and Junín regions in Peru’s Amazon basin. Finally, we discuss intercultural moral education and the need to analyze the reasons behind cultural practices in order to understand the rationality and reasonableness of others. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The effects of COVID-19 pandemic on tourism sector(2021-10-20)In this research, we are going to analyze the effects of Covid 19 pandemic on the human resources management in the tourism sector. MakeMyTrip is Indian online tourism company which provides online travel services, including flight tickets, domestic and international vacation packages, hotel reservations, railways and bus tickets. MakeMyTrip has branch office in New York, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Bangkok, and Dubai. This sector is one of the most affected by the pandemic. This study aims to analyze how employees adapt to the new needs of the sector and how companies motivate them to meet the organizational goals. The method used in this study was descriptive method in which the data taken from secondary source such as research articles and scientific journal. The results found that as many as 350 employees of MakeMyTrip had been laid off in order to maintain the company financial remain stable. They also reduce their variable costs such as advertising, sales promotions, payment gateway costs, optimized IT infrastructure and expenses related to the operation of their offices and other facilities. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
