Item type:Publication, Humor and learning: A systematic literature review(Universidad del Zulia, 2022-10-01)In recent literature, the use of humor in the classroom arouses greater interest in teachers as a pedagogical innovation. The objective of the study was to analyze the relationship between humor and learning through the scientific literature, published in the period 2010-2021, in Scopus and Web of Science. The questions were formulated: What are the characteristics of the scientific approach that researchers have carried out to understand the relationship between humor and learning? And what does the scientific evidence conclude about the relationship between humor and learning? which led to the exhaustive analysis of 29 scientific articles. There is evidence of a predominance of the quantitative approach over the qualitative or mixed. In addition, the investigations are mostly oriented towards evaluating university students. It is identified that the countries of Central and South America are not adequately represented in the scientific literature. When the investigations are grouped, the relationship between humor and learning tends to be positive (82.8%) through its influence on mediators such as attention and motivation. Finally, as a conclusion, some epistemic routes are suggested for future research that addresses this relationship - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Situación de las organizaciones educativas escolares en pandemia: tres aspectos clave(Catholic University of Cordoba, 2024-04-26)Educational organizations were affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic, and, as a result, many of them had to develop strategies and practices in order to continue providing educational services. In light of this, the present study aimed to understand the situation of educational organizations during the pandemic, focusing on the following educational phenomena: organizational resilience, educational improvement, and distributed leadership. To do this, the research was approached through the narrative review method, for which a total of sixty-two sources were examined, from the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. The study concludes that there is evidence of an increase in resilient capacities as well as the exercise of distributed leadership. Additionally, it was concluded that educational improvement facilitated the enhancement of actions related to teaching and learning processes during the pandemic. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Use of Nearpod and Blum Modeling to Strengthen the Academic Performance of University Students in Mathematics(Richtmann Publishing Ltd, 2023-09-01)The method used by educators at the higher level is not usually the most appropriate, which usually affects the learning process of students and, in turn, their academic performance. The main of this study is to demonstrate that Blum's modeling and the use of the Nearpod strengthen academic performance in the mathematics course in university students. Method. applied typology, quantifiable approach, explanatory level and pre-experimental design, likewise, the sample consisted of 30 university students, to whom a questionnaire created and validated by the researcher was applied. RESULTS. they indicate that Blum's modeling and the use of the Nearpod strengthen academic performance (p=0.000<0.05). Discussion. Using the Nearpod as a tool to improve academic performance is effective, because it presents characteristics that motivate the student to learn. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Adapting the Technology Acceptance Model to Explore College Students' Intentions to Use Technology in Virtual Education(University of Barcelona, 2023-12-01)The use of technologies in educational contexts has been increasing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the use of models that can explain a student's intention to use certain technologies has not been adequately researched, much less has it been possible to identify the validity of a model that maintained his factorial structure in different contexts. Therefore, this study seeks to adapt the technology acceptance model to Spanish, to be used with university students. Thus, a questionnaire was applied to 297 students belonging to a private university. The results indicate that the original factorial structure of the model is maintained when it is adapted to Spanish. Likewise, it was identified that there were no differences in the model according to the gender of the participant, which corroborates a factorial invariance of the model. Also, causal relationships within the model with the intention of using technologies are corroborated. We concluded that the technology acceptance model is maintained in a different context and can be used with university students to evaluate possible educational interventions in virtuality. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Digital transformation and the future of human resources: emerging dimensions, implementation challenges and a strategic framework(Emerald Publishing Limited, 2026-07-01)This paper examines how digital transformation (DT) is reshaping human resource (HR) management across organizations of diverse sizes and sectors. Grounded in resource-based view and dynamic capabilities theory, it addresses three research questions: what is the current state of research on DT in HR; what challenges organizations face when implementing digital technologies in this field; and what gaps remain in the academic literature requiring further exploration. Design/methodology/approach A systematic literature review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. The search string was applied to Web of Science in April 2026, retrieving 418 publications spanning 2015–April 2026. Following a two-pass screening process and thematic analysis using Braun and Clarke (2006) six-step procedure, 60 empirically grounded studies were retained. Findings Thematic synthesis of the 60 retained studies reveals five dimensions through which DT is reshaping human resources: people analytics, AI for talent management, process automation, digitalization of learning and cultural transformation. Cultural transformation emerges as the foundational enabling condition across all dimensions. Critical challenges are identified as mutually reinforcing barriers: cultural resistance, digital skills gaps, ethical and governance concerns and structural constraints. Practical implications Ethical data governance frameworks must precede analytics deployment. AI should be adopted through an augmentation logic, enhancing rather than replacing human judgment, with bias, transparency and consent governance as non-negotiable prerequisites. Automation implementation should begin incrementally with low-complexity, high-volume processes. Digital learning must be treated as a strategic capability driver, integrated with real work processes and designed inclusively to avoid techno-overload. Critically, cultural readiness assessment and resistance measurement must begin before technology deployment, not after. Originality/value The study proposes two practitioner-oriented tools: a cultural framework for DT in HR, structured around five strategic nodes and a five-phase implementation roadmap, providing an evidence-based architecture for responsible, effective and sustainable HR DT applicable across diverse organizational contexts.
