Item type:Publication, A mobile application design to prevent criminal acts in Lima, Peru(ASTES Publishers, 2020-01-01)In the province of Lima, Peru, criminal acts are increasing every day; it is a social problem that affects many people, who often try with the life of the indignant person, becoming the greatest fear of the community. For this reason, a mobile application was designed that allows the inhabitants to report and share the criminal acts that occur in their environment in real time, allowing them to prevent such acts. This application was designed using the Balsamiq tool, which allows each sketch to be developed in an organized manner. The result was the development of each module that addresses each of the functionalities of the application design for its correct structuring with the Balsamiq tool. These results will help the inhabitants of Lima, Peru, to expose the facts of which they are victims, without the immediate need to go to the police station, and which will be proposed for development to different competition funds.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Systematic mapping of the literature on secure software development(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2021-03-09)The accelerated growth in exploiting vulnerabilities due to errors or failures in the software development process is a latent concern in the Software Industry. In this sense, this study aims to provide an overview of the Secure Software Development trends to help identify topics that have been extensively studied and those that still need to be. Therefore, in this paper, a systematic mapping review with PICo search strategies was conducted. A total of 867 papers were identified, of which only 528 papers were selected for this review. The main findings correspond to the Software Requirements Security, where the Elicitation and Misuse Cases reported more frequently. In Software Design Security, recurring themes are security in component-based software development, threat model, and security patterns. In the Software Construction Security, the most frequent topics are static code analysis and vulnerability detection. Finally, in Software Testing Security, the most frequent topics are vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. In conclusion, there is a diversity of methodologies, models, and tools with specific objectives in each secure software development stage. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Structural and modal analysis of adapter plates for hydraulic hammers and skid steers under real work condition(Universidad Politecnica Salesiana, 2022-01-01)In Perú the need for utility projects such as gas network installation for residents has increased the demand for the use of Hydraulic Hammers (HH) with mini-loaders, due to the low investment required compared to other machinery equipment and to the versatility. The easiness to interchange hydraulic hammers with buckets to complete the demolition and cleaning stages offers for contractors a higher productivity than manual operations. For that reason, the virtual design software Inventor Professional was used to design a suitable adapter plate with adequate resistance and durability, which has a direct impact on the structure of the hydraulic hammer and the hydraulic arm of the skid steers. Simultaneously, a basic animation was developed to explain the effect of the operation style over the hydraulic hammers and the adapter plates. Finally, for this development, it was considered the construction of an adapter plate as a fuse in the system, in case operators exceed the resistance capacity of the hydraulic hammer structure. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Interaction Between Design Processes and Innovation in the Gastronomic Equipment Industry in Peru(Sindicato das Secretárias do Estado de São Paulo, 2023-08-28)In Peru, in recent years, significant progress has been made as part of the objective of eliminating obstacles in the gastronomy value chain and identifying, in the current offer, factors that improve its quality, proposing actions to improve competitiveness. Meanwhile, the metalworking industry has shown a pronounced growth in recent years, also recovering exports, but has had less encouraging results in innovation indicators, which places Peru in the 89th place, out of 140, of the economies of the most competitive countries worldwide. Therefore, the main objectives of this research are the identification and analysis of the advances of gastronomic equipment developed in Peru, due to the enormous gastronomic growth evidenced as a result of the contribution of the State, the Academy and the Private Company. A descriptive research and a qualitative characterization of four specific cases of the cities of Lima and Arequipa is carried out, determining the opportunities that the sector has to improve its competitiveness and innovation. Product innovations developed in recent years and which have highlighted technical aspects of engineering design processes are examined, where the metallurgical sector involved is mainly represented by the small company. Thus, the way design is applied during innovation processes has been determined and key topics of study have been identified, as well as its impact on the interaction between design and innovation processes, through a proposed model using the diagram IDEF0 (Integration Definition for Function Modeling). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Design of JARI: A Robot to Enhance Social Interaction in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), 2025-05-01)Robots designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have demonstrated potential in promoting social engagement and emotional learning. This study presents the design and preliminary evaluation of JARI, a social robot developed to support emotional recognition and interaction in children with ASD aged 6 to 8 years. The robot integrates mechanical, electronic, and software components within a modular architecture and is operated via a web-based Wizard of Oz interface. Aesthetic decisions, including a deliberately ambiguous zoomorphic appearance to avoid triggering the recognition of specific animal forms and the use of sensory accessories, were made to increase acceptance and reduce overstimulation. JARI was tested in the following two scenarios: individual interaction at a special education center in Peru, and group interaction at an inclusive school in Spain. Results show that most children were able to identify the robot's emotional expressions and responded positively to its color cues. Behavioral analysis revealed significant engagement through physical gestures, sustained visual attention, and emotional mirroring. These findings suggest that JARI is effective in capturing attention and eliciting meaningful interaction from children with ASD.1
