Item type:Publication, Integración y convergencia en UNASUR(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Departamento de Economía, 2013)The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between the Andean countries. In this context, we study different strategies of international links and constitute different forms of regional integration, including UNASUR. Consequently, this paper describes the problem that exists within regional blocks such as CAN and MERCOSUR. On the other hand, shows the importance and efforts to deepen integration with other processes, such as the “Alianza del Pacífico”, TPP and ALBA. UNASUR emerges as an alternative to the limited possibilities of convergence between CAN-MERCOSUR as an instrument that should be enhanced to strengthen South American integration, that cover not only the political but also the economic and commercial scope.
