Item type:Publication, Competitividad en el Perú 2019-2020 : una perspectiva de cadena de suministro(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Departamento Académico de Ciencias de la Gestión, 2020-05-26)Nations competitiveness levels define, in some way, their prosperity over time. Peru has demonstrated a progressively recoil between 2017 and 2019 regarding its position in the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) ranking. Even more, compared with other countries ranked in the GCI and with their Transpacific Alliance partners (Colombia, Chile, and Mexico), it does not show a remarkable growth. This academic note focuses on the discussion about Competitiveness Report 2019 and 2020 for Peru, under a supply chains perspective, since this is a natural and relevant facilitator for country’s competitiveness. Therefore, it develops the infrastructure and logistics pillars included in these reports, and at the end it presents conclusions and recommendations from the discussion made. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Impacto de las cláusulas de transferencia tecnológica e innovación en los acuerdos comerciales regionales(Universidade de Sao Paolo, 2023-01-01)International trade is one of the main vehicles to promote the technology transfer as it contributes to the generation of new products with greater added value, expanding export opportunities and diversification, as well as the insertion of domestic companies in global value chains. This article seeks to determine the impact of the technology related provisions in the main trade agreements that are signed by Latin America and the Caribbean countries in the last 20 years on the level of exports, particularly on the export of goods in technology-intensive sectors. It attempts to analyze whether this effect varies between North-South and South-South trade agreements, especially in the case of the Pacific Alliance.
