    El Programa Articulado Nutricional y la desnutrición infantil en la región Huánuco, Perú

    To determine the relationship between the Articulated Nutritional Program (PAN, by its Spanish acronym) and chronic malnutrition in children under 5 years old in the Panao Health Micro Network, Pachitea Province, Huánuco Region (Peru), for the period 2018-2021. Methods: A correlational study with a non-experimental design was conducted. Secondary data from DIRESA-Huánuco and the Friendly Consultation web portal of the Ministry of Economy and Finance were used to estimate Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: A negative relationship was found between PAN and chronic child malnutrition in the Panao district, with a Pearson correlation coeffcient value of -0.74. Additionally, a negative relationship was found between chronic child malnutrition and the dimensions of PAN: management of PAN goods and services (-0.47), budget allocation (-0.66), and PAN budget execution (-0.70). Conclusions: There is a relationship between PAN and chronic malnutrition in children under 5 years old in the Panao Health Micro Network for the period 2018-2021.

    Impacto de la educación básica regular en la pobreza monetaria en la región Huánuco, Perú

    Objective. To determine the impact of having Regular Basic Education (EBR) studies on the condition of being poor in the population of the Huánuco region (Peru), for the period 2010-2020. Methods. The research was applied, adopted an explanatory level and a non-experimental design. Human capital theory and data from the National Household Survey were used as a theoretical basis for the estimation of a probit model. Results. It was found that people with secondary education are less likely to be poor. In particular, it was found that the probability of being monetarily poor of a person with initial, primary and secondary education decreases by 0.11 pp, 2.19 pp and 3.60 pp, respectively. Conclusions. It is concluded that having a higher level of RBS education leads to a greater decrease in the probability of being poor from the monetary approach to poverty.

    Factores determinantes de la deserción escolar en la región Huánuco, Perú

    Objective. Determine the factors that explain school dropout in the Huánuco region, Peru, for the period 2010 - 2020. Methods. The research was of an applied type, it adopted an explanatory level and a non-experimental design. Two perspectives on school dropout (individual and institutional perspective) and data from the National Household Survey were used as a theoretical basis for the estimation of a logistic regression model. Results. It was found that the probability of school dropout increases: (i) regarding socioeconomic factors, if the student belongs to a household with a low socioeconomic level (2.985 pp.), lives in a single-parent family (0.234 pp.), has dropout parent’s basic education (4,013 pp.); (ii) regarding personal factors, if the student is older (0.801 pp.), or is male (0.856 pp.), or has the need to work (1.986 pp.). Conclusions. It is established that the socioeconomic factors of school dropout are: the socioeconomic level of the home, a history of dropout parents and the parental structure of the home. Meanwhile, the personal factors related to school dropout are age, sex and the need to work of the student.
