Item type:Publication, Mental illness of management educators: does holding multiple academic jobs play a role? A qualitative study(Springer Science+Business Media, 2022-03-21)Through addressing management educators in four public business schools in Egypt, the authors of this paper aim to uncover the impact of holding multiple academic jobs on the mental health of management educators. The paper asserts that management educators do not perceive the holding of multiple academic roles as a stimulant of any form of mental illness (e.g., anxiety, depression, stress) if it is accompanied by a sense of autonomy (proper teaching loads, rational time for supervising theses, reasonable requests for research production) a feeling of competence (relevant monthly salary, available training and learning opportunities) and a sense of relatedness (feeling of involvement, flexible work hours, option to work from home). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The inclusion of gig employees and their career satisfaction: Do individual and collaborative job crafting play a role?(Springer Science+Business Media, 2022-01-05)Through focusing on digital employees registered in three crowdsourcing platforms, we investigate how individual and collaborative job crafting may be positively related to the sense of organizational inclusion and feeling of career satisfaction those digital employees might develop. The authors employed a quantitative research method in which they focused on surveys collected from 279 digital employees and used SmartPLS 3 (Ringle et al., 2015). The results showed that the proactive behaviour embedded within both individual and collaborative job crafting leads to digital employees’ sense of organizational inclusion and subsequently, a feeling of career satisfaction.
