A novel prediction model for educational planning of human resources with data mining approach: a national tax administration case study
    (Springer Science+Business Media, 2021-08-13)
Human resources training is considered an effective solution in empowering human resources. Organizations try to have effective educational planning for this precious resource by identifying shortcomings through a need assessment. This study provides a model based on organizational data analysis to achieve a unique and appropriate training planning for each staff. Therefore, job performance, organizational promotion and lay-off have become the basis for staff training planning. For this purpose, the tax assessor’s information was investigated. Then, the CRISP-DM methodology was selected, and the project was implemented. Furthermore, a decision tree model was selected to extract unknown rules and patterns in the educational decision-making staff; the neural network model was selected as the predictive model to predict the target variables. The results revealed the decision tree for predicting job performance variables and organizational promotion status, and the neural network model was more effective in predicting service lay-off variables.

Investigating the environmental impacts of construction projects in time-cost trade-off project scheduling problems with CoCoSo multi-criteria decision-making method
(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), 2021-10-01)
Currently, construction projects have a significant share in environmental pollution. Usually, the employers and managers of construction projects pay attention to the project implementation with the shortest duration and the lowest cost, whereas less attention is paid to the environmental effects of the implementation of projects. Sustainable development requires the planning and implementation of construction projects, taking environmental impacts, along with other factors, into account. Few studies have investigated the balancing time, cost, and environmental effects. Although the selection of an execution method for the project activity requires the use of decision-making methods, these methods have not been used in the project scheduling problems. This study seeks to simultaneously minimize the project time, cost, and environmental impacts. The of this study is to evaluate the environmental impact of project activities in three physical, biological, and social aspects throughout the construction projects, and to attempt to minimize them as measurable values. In this paper, the environmental effects of an urban water supply construction project as a real case study are assessed in different activity execution modes by the Leopold matrix and the best execution mode of each project activity is selected using the CoCoSo (combined compromise solution) multi-criteria decision-making method, considering the time–cost-environmental impact trade-off. The CoCoSo method is employed because of its high flexibility compared to other multi-criteria decision-making methods. The results of this study will direct managers and stake-holders of construction projects to pay more attention to the environmental effects of construction project activities, together with the other conventional project goals and objectives, such as the time and cost.

Application of fuzzy BWM-CoCoSo to time-cost-environmental impact trade-off construction project scheduling problem
    (Springer Science+Business Media, 2022-04-05)
The economic growth and the development of construction industry in several countries have had detrimental impacts on environment and natural ecosystems. Therefore, environmental impact assessment studies of construction projects have received more attention from governments and organizations. In other words, minimizing environmental impacts have been taken into consideration along with other common project goals. This study aims to identify and evaluate the environmental impacts of construction projects and ultimately determine the most favorable implementation modes of activities so that each project activity is executed with the least possible cost, duration, and environmental effects. The environmental consequences of projects are identified in three biological, physicochemical, and socioeconomic environments. Also, the positive and negative environmental impacts are assessed using the Leopold matrix method. Then, the importance weights of the project objectives including cost, time, negative environmental impacts, and positive environmental impacts are calculated using the fuzzy BWM method. Finally, the various modes of executing each activity are prioritized and ranked by using the fuzzy CoCoSo technique regarding the weighted objectives. The activity execution mode with the highest ranking indicates the best possible implementation mode of that given activity according to cost, time and positive environmental impacts as well as negative environmental impacts. The proposed method is implemented in a remote rural water supply construction project for efficiency evaluation. This study directs project managers to identify and assess the environmental consequences and impacts of construction projects in addition to considering the other two common project objectives.

The Influence of Philosophical Mentality and Spiritual Intelligence on Creativity of Employees Mediated by Organizational Commitment
    (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, 2023-10-12)
The root of organizational creativity depends on employee’s creativity and any factor increasing the staff’s creativity. In recent years, specific features of the mind and the role of emotions in people are considered a competitive advantage that has been at the center of attention by organizations. Therefore, the present study focused on the relationship between spiritual intelligence and philosophical mentality on employee creativity and the mediating role of organizational commitment. To analyze the conceptual model of research, philosophical mentality the Smith’s Wellbeing Questionnaire for Workers, spiritual intelligence King’s Questionnaire, organizational commitment Allen and Meyer’s Organizational Commitment Scale, and organizational creativity Randsip’s Creativity Questionnaire were used for collecting data. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation coefficient and analysis of variance. The statistical sample included 278 employees of factories located in industrial towns of Isfahan, Iran. The results indicated the positive relationships between philosophical mentality and creativity, philosophical mentality and organizational commitment, spiritual intelligence and employee creativity, spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment, organizational commitment, and employee creativity. In addition, philosophical mentality and spiritual intelligence can affect the employee’s creativity through organizational commitment as a mediator variable.

Organizational Citizenship Behavior Based on Trust in Organizational Spirituality and Participation in Non-Profit Service Organizations: A Case Study in Iran
    (Cogent OA, 2023-12-31)
One of the significant factors that can make the behaviors, attitudes and interactions between employees better to offer high quality services is to acquire an organizational citizenship behavior. Focusing on the organizational citizenship behavior is crucial to the organizations operating in non-profit service sectors because of having positive and direct impact and thus making them profitable, efficient and effective. This paper aims to propose a model for organizational citizenship behavior by placing the components of trust in organizational spirituality and participation in non-profit service organizations. In this study, correlation analysis and factor analysis as well as the structural equation modeling (SEM) are applied. The population consists of employees working in the largest non-profit service organization in Iran. The findings show that the proposed model is valid and reliable, and there is a significant relationship between variables in the conceptual research model.

Investigation of the Effects of Knowledge Management on Organizational Performance Through Human Resource Management as Mediator
    (SAGE Publishing, 2023-04-17)
This research seeks to examine and distinguish the factors influencing empowerment and exertion of knowledge management along with the effect of knowledge management on organizational performance. In addition, this paper investigates human capital as mediator between the relationship of knowledge management and organizational performance. The conceptual model was extended based on the literature review. The primary data were gathered using a questionnaire comprising 48 questions distributed to the personnel of all branches of one of the largest private banks in Iran. Three hundred sixty-one questionnaires were randomly distributed among the personnel, and 334 questionnaires were answered. The gathered data were examined through SPSS and SMART PLS. The results demonstrated the positive impacts of variables including structure, organizational technology, strategy, culture, and trust on organizational knowledge management under study. Moreover, knowledge management directly affects the performance of the organization and through human resource management as mediator. This study motivates the managers and personnel to exploit the accessible organizational assets for enhancing knowledge management practices as well as human resources as the most exquisite organizational capitals.
