Business school model of social responsibility and sustainability and its impact on small- and mid-sized enterprises
    (Emerald Publishing Limited, 2022-03-28)
Purpose This study aims to define a business school model of social responsibility (SR) and sustainability and describe how the implementation of this model impacts on small- and mid-sized enterprises (SME) and stakeholders in the chain. Design/methodology/approach The model was built based on a conceptual analysis about the literary and documentary review in recognized databases of scientific publications and models of SR, accreditations and impact and quality report systems of business schools. The implementation of the model was based on a project that involved Peruvian SME. Data were collected through surveys administered to the study population. The results were confirmed through in-depth interviews. Analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive-analytical methods were used to present the SR model. Findings This model focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), partnerships and solved relevant social and economic problems. It also allowed the growth of the micro entrepreneur, the family, the company, the society and other stakeholders in the chain. Research limitations/implications The model was validated in one business school but generated more results than the expected. It is recommended to replicate it in other organizations. It has been developed in pandemic and post-pandemic situations. Practical implications The model was based on many impact models that considered the SDGs and relevant alliance generation that involved stakeholders in the chain. It also contributed to the development of entrepreneurs and the society. Social implications The model benefited people, society and companies. The program aimed to train and formalize entrepreneurs and generate social and economic development. Originality/value This study allowed moving from theory to practice in topics of SR and sustainability. The main original aspect is that the model was based on the Unión de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria Latino Americana model; the Business Graduates Association, European Quality Improvement System, Business school Impact System, Global Reporting Initiative standards, the Responsible Business Conduct and the SDGs.

What is the sustainable personal development? Why is it relevant for the world future?
    (Lectito Journals, 2026-01-01)
The aim of this study is to conduct a comprehensive review of the literature on the conceptualization of sustainable personal development (SPD) and its relevance to the future of the world. A systematic literature search was conducted in five stages, involving the screening of 367 studies. The study employed bibliometric and in-depth content analyses. This offers a novel and replicable approach to systematization and analysis. The SPD, a relevant term used in the academic literature, is conceptualized, and a significant contribution is made to the field of knowledge and sustainability. This integral concept is associated with social development on a global scale, given that sustainability initiatives originate with each individual. Conversely, the associated elements facilitate the identification of significant relationships that could inform future research initiatives in academia, business, and the wider world.

Clustering green finance, fintech, and digital technologies for sustainable operations
    (Springer Nature, 2026-12-01)
The of this study is to provide a more comprehensive and updated analysis of how green finance enabled by financial technology (Fintech) and digital innovation, contributes to sustainability in economic and operational systems. In particular, the study examines how digital technologies support sustainable operations by facilitating inclusion, improving resource allocation, and accelerating structural change towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Using a mixed-methods approach that combines bibliometric analysis with a systematic literature review. A comprehensive analysis of 67 articles published between 2022 and 2025 was conducted. The findings identify four dominant research clusters in which digital technologies, innovation, regulation and international cooperation play a prominent role as drivers of structural change. Fintech and institutionality (cluster 1), is a driver of sustainable banking performance (cluster 2), there are dynamics of natural resources and a Fintech-mediated energy transition (cluster 3), and Fintech and Start-ups collaboration is a driver of social sustainability (cluster 4). The report also reveals significant findings between developed and developing countries. This study adopts a mixed method combining bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. The results further reveal notable differences between developed and developing countries. China leads with 1,140 total citations and an average of 43.8 per article, while Australia has the highest average impact of 56.6. Green finance and Fintech have been identified as pivotal in promoting sustainability, particularly in developing countries where environmental and social challenges are most acute. Financial technology not only optimises financial processes, but also drives the democratisation of financial services and green investment, playing a key role in the transition to a resilient and sustainable economy. The combination of digital and sustainable solutions is essential to achieving development goals. However, it is vital that this initiative be implemented in conjunction with responsible management of natural resources, effective public policies, and the presence of skilled human capital.
