Entrepreneurial Passion and Self-Efficacy as Factors Explaining Innovative Behavior: A Mediation Model
    (2020-07-01)
Purpose: Dynamic and successful entrepreneurs and an enabling business environment are necessary if a company has to grow sustainably. However, research on the most important factors for entrepreneurs to be successful is still scarce. This paper analyzes the mediating effect of entrepreneurial passion -a key trait in successful entrepreneurs -on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and innovative behavior. Design/Methodology/Approach: Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used in a sample of 358 participants in the same number of companies. Findings: Results show that there is a significant complementary mediation effect of entrepreneurial passion on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and innovative behavior. Practical Implications: This finding is important in order to further advance the understanding of the direct and indirect causes of entrepreneurial behavior. Originality/Value: Finally, this is especially important for understanding innovative behavior in an emerging economy with particular cultural, macro-economic and social characteristics.

    (Universidade do Minho, 2021-01-01)

Influence of leadership styles on the innovative behavior of military higher technological education students

Influence of leadership styles on the innovative behavior of Peruvian Army officers

Enhancing IT project success through entrepreneurial leadership: The mediating roles of team reflexivity, team innovation culture, and team entrepreneurial passion
    (Cogent OA, 2024-01-01)
Drawing on the Resource Based View and Social Learning Theory, this study aims to explore the influence of Entrepreneurial Leadership (EL) on Project Success (PS) via the mediating pathways of Team Reflexivity (TR), Team Innovation Culture (TIC), and Team Entrepreneurial Passion (TEP). Data were gathered from 422 senior-level employees in IT firms. The analysis employed SMART-PLS 4 structural equation modeling to assess the proposed relationships. The findings underscore the significant impact of EL on PS. EL was observed to exert a noteworthy influence on TR, TIC, and TEP. Moreover, the proposed mediators, TR and TIC, exhibited substantial effects on PS, while TEP demonstrated a partially significant impact. Through the mediating roles of TR, TEP, and TIC, EL indirectly influenced PS.

Fueling Recognition of Opportunities Through Innovative Behavior: Mediating Role of Team Entrepreneurial Passion and Team Innovation Capacity
    (Cogent OA, 2023-01-01)
Opportunities recognition is a crucial predictor to assess the viability of any business in a competitive, changing, and uncertain market. In this context, researchers have emphasized innovative behavior should be examined as a driver to recognize opportunities. Despite the growing interest in research on the impact of innovative behavior on the recognition of opportunities, studies are surprisingly scarce. This study seeks to determine how innovative behavior impacts on the recognition of opportunities through team entrepreneurial passion and team innovation capacity in a post-pandemic framework, supporting the mediating effects by resource-based vision theory and opportunity recognition theory. Data were collected in face-to-face surveys to 601 decision-makers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a textile cluster in Lima, Peru using a cross-sectional research design by partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that (1) innovative behavior has a positive and significant effect on the recognition of opportunities, and (2) team entrepreneurial passion and team innovation capacity mediate this relationship. These finding enrich the theories and the result can serve as the highlights for management, policies designed for innovative behavior, team entrepreneurial passion, and team innovation capacity in business that generates a competitive advantage especially in developing countries.
