Item type:Publication, A novel prediction model for educational planning of human resources with data mining approach: a national tax administration case study(Springer Science+Business Media, 2021-08-13)Human resources training is considered an effective solution in empowering human resources. Organizations try to have effective educational planning for this precious resource by identifying shortcomings through a need assessment. This study provides a model based on organizational data analysis to achieve a unique and appropriate training planning for each staff. Therefore, job performance, organizational promotion and lay-off have become the basis for staff training planning. For this purpose, the tax assessor’s information was investigated. Then, the CRISP-DM methodology was selected, and the project was implemented. Furthermore, a decision tree model was selected to extract unknown rules and patterns in the educational decision-making staff; the neural network model was selected as the predictive model to predict the target variables. The results revealed the decision tree for predicting job performance variables and organizational promotion status, and the neural network model was more effective in predicting service lay-off variables. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Item type:Publication, NSGA-II algorithm for hub location-allocation problem considering hub disruption and backup hub allocation(Emerald, 2021-08-21)One of the practical issues in the area of location and allocation is the location of the hub. In recent years, exchange rates have fluctuated sharply for a number of reasons such as sanctions against the country. Natural disasters that have occurred in recent years caused delays in hub servicing. The of this study is to develop a mathematical programming model to minimize costs, maximize social responsibility and minimize fuel consumption so that in the event of a disruption in the main hub, the flow of materials can be directed to its backup hub to prevent delays in flow between nodes and disruptions in hubs. Design/methodology/approach A multi-objective mathematical programming model is developed considering uncertainty in some parameters, especially cost as fuzzy numbers. In addition, backup hubs are selected for each primary hub to deal with disruption and natural disasters and prevent delays. Then, a robust possibilistic method is proposed to deal with uncertainty. As the hub location-allocation problem is considered as NP-Hard problems so that exact methods cannot solve them in large sizes, two metaheuristic algorithms including a non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) and multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) are applied to tackle the problem. Findings Numerical results show the proposed model is valid. Also, they demonstrate that the NSGA-II algorithm outperforms the MOPSO algorithm. Practical implications The proposed model was implemented in one of the largest food companies in Iran, which has numerous products manufactured in different cities, to seek the hub locations. Also, due to several reasons such as road traffic and route type the difference in the rate of fuel consumption between nodes, this model helps managers and decision-makers to choose the best locations to have the least fuel consumption. Moreover, as the hub set up increases the employment rate in that city and has social benefits as it requires hiring some staff. Originality/value This paper investigates the hub location problem considering backup hubs with multiple objective functions to deal with disruption and uncertainty. Also, this study examines how non-hub nodes are assigned to hub nodes. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The Influence of Philosophical Mentality and Spiritual Intelligence on Creativity of Employees Mediated by Organizational Commitment(Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, 2023-10-12)The root of organizational creativity depends on employee’s creativity and any factor increasing the staff’s creativity. In recent years, specific features of the mind and the role of emotions in people are considered a competitive advantage that has been at the center of attention by organizations. Therefore, the present study focused on the relationship between spiritual intelligence and philosophical mentality on employee creativity and the mediating role of organizational commitment. To analyze the conceptual model of research, philosophical mentality the Smith’s Wellbeing Questionnaire for Workers, spiritual intelligence King’s Questionnaire, organizational commitment Allen and Meyer’s Organizational Commitment Scale, and organizational creativity Randsip’s Creativity Questionnaire were used for collecting data. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation coefficient and analysis of variance. The statistical sample included 278 employees of factories located in industrial towns of Isfahan, Iran. The results indicated the positive relationships between philosophical mentality and creativity, philosophical mentality and organizational commitment, spiritual intelligence and employee creativity, spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment, organizational commitment, and employee creativity. In addition, philosophical mentality and spiritual intelligence can affect the employee’s creativity through organizational commitment as a mediator variable. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Investigation of the Effects of Knowledge Management on Organizational Performance Through Human Resource Management as Mediator(SAGE Publishing, 2023-04-17)This research seeks to examine and distinguish the factors influencing empowerment and exertion of knowledge management along with the effect of knowledge management on organizational performance. In addition, this paper investigates human capital as mediator between the relationship of knowledge management and organizational performance. The conceptual model was extended based on the literature review. The primary data were gathered using a questionnaire comprising 48 questions distributed to the personnel of all branches of one of the largest private banks in Iran. Three hundred sixty-one questionnaires were randomly distributed among the personnel, and 334 questionnaires were answered. The gathered data were examined through SPSS and SMART PLS. The results demonstrated the positive impacts of variables including structure, organizational technology, strategy, culture, and trust on organizational knowledge management under study. Moreover, knowledge management directly affects the performance of the organization and through human resource management as mediator. This study motivates the managers and personnel to exploit the accessible organizational assets for enhancing knowledge management practices as well as human resources as the most exquisite organizational capitals. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A Multi-Objective Mathematical Programming Model for the Problem of P-Envy Emergency Medical Service Location(SAGE Publications Ltd, 2023-01-01)To prevent the great dangers caused by emergency situations, providing rapid and high-quality emergency aid highly depends on the location of emergency medical centers. The purpose of this research is to present a multi-objective mathematical programing model based on the minimum P-envy algorithm to locate and construct emergency medical services (EMS). Maximizing the coverage in order to increase the probability of survival of different categories of patients, minimizing the costs of constructing EMS and optimizing the ratio of regions having the right to emergency medical services is one of the fundamental challenges in the health care system of countries. In this paper, a model for maximum utilization of EMS considering budget limitations is presented. In this study, since the problem is NP-Hard, the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Simulated Annealing (SA) algorithm were used to solve this problem. The parameters of the metaheuristic algorithms were tuned using the Taguchi method. Several instance problems were solved to compare the performance of 2 algorithms. The results demonstrate that the validity of the proposed model. Also, the mean of the solutions obtained by GA for small, medium, and large-size problems are better than the SA algorithm. Also, the GA algorithm obtained more efficient solutions than the SA algorithm. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The impact of portfolio managers' familiarity with data visualization on the development of heuristics methods(Springer Science+Business Media, 2026-01-01)Cognitive theories suggest that visualization enhances decision-making by creating cognitive shortcuts that facilitate effective thinking and reduce biases. Data visualization is widely used across various projects to improve decision-making, with numerous studies exploring its role in shaping analytical processes. The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of portfolio managers’ familiarity with data visualization on the development of heuristic methods based on expert knowledge and successful decision-making. The study introduces an innovative approach by investigating the relationship between expertise in mental analysis and decision-making, particularly in the context of visualization. To achieve these objectives, relevant literature and questionnaires were utilized. Companies in Iran’s oil and gas sector and high-level infrastructure industries were selected in 2023 using random sampling to ensure diversity in size and type. Hypothesis testing was conducted using SPSS version 27 and Smart PLS 3 software to assess the current and optimal states of the research variables, followed by structural equation modeling for further evaluation. The findings highlight that the association between portfolio managers’ familiarity with data visualization and heuristics methods based on expert knowledge positively influences successful decision-making by portfolio managers and the success of the portfolio.
