Item type:Publication, A literature review about professional learning communities(Universidad Austral de Chile, 2024-01-01)The objective of this article is to analyze the scientific production related to professional learning communities (CPA) from 2016 until 2021, from the review and analysis of research. Regarding the methodology, the study responds to the qualitative approach and the literature review method of 61 articles was used. These were analyzed from two categories: Aspects related to the concept of CPA; and Particular features of the CPAs. In this way, the analysis and discussion of results made it possible to specify quantitative elements regarding the articles such as the predominant research method and techniques, main informants, and most cited authors. It is concluded that three perspectives can be established in relation to the concept: Structural; Activity performed; and Objective to be achieved. Finally, in relation to the particular features, five general components can be specified: Guiding vision; Leadership; Practice; Learning; and Support aspects. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, El ejercicio del poder y el liderazgo del director de escuela(2023-04-01)Introducción: El estudio abarca la situación del director desde el poder, su uso en la práctica de gestión y liderazgo bajo la mirada del enfoque de la micropolítica. Objetivo: Analizar el ejercicio del poder y estilo de liderazgo de tres directores de escuelas, a partir de las percepciones de los docentes. Métodos: El estudio es de tipo cualitativo y se basó en dos categorías: la primera, el ejercicio de poder del director, y la segunda, sus estilos de liderazgo. La recolección de información se realizó mediante la aplicación de una entrevista semiestructurada dirigida a diferentes profesores que relatan sus experiencias sobre la labor del director. Resultados: A partir del análisis de los hallazgos y discusión, se concluye que, el director, para lidiar con los conflictos, hace un uso conveniente de estrategias y tácticas de poder sobre los docentes y padres de familia. Conclusiones: Por lo tanto, un manejo exitoso de los conflictos suscita percepciones positivas sobre los estilos de liderazgo de los directores y, con ello, los estilos de liderazgo implican un manejo comprensivo del poder que debe administrar estratégicamente el director./Introduction: This study covers the situation of school principals from the point of view of power, and its use in management and leadership practices from the perspective of the micropolitics approach. To analyze the exercise of power and leadership style of three school principals based on teachers' perceptions. Methods: The study is qualitative and was based on two categories: the first, the principals' exercise of power; and the second, their leadership styles. The collection of information was carried out through the application of a semi-structured interview, directed to different teachers who reported their experiences about the principals' work. Results: From the analysis of the findings and discussion, it is concluded that the principal, in order to deal with conflicts, makes a convenient use of strategies and tactics of power over teachers and parents. Conclusions: Successful conflict management elicits positive perceptions about principals' leadership styles and, with this, leadership styles imply a comprehensive management of power that the principal must strategically manage.
