Item type:Publication, 100 volumes of Mathematical Methods of Operations Research: A bibliometric overview(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2024-12-01)Mathematical Methods of Operations Research is a scholarly journal that publishes high-quality contributions related to mathematics, statistics, and computer science, focusing specifically on operations research. It was established in 1956 and reached Volume 100 in 2024. To mark this significant milestone, this study aims to identify and elucidate the main patterns in the journal's publication and citation structure, highly cited documents, prolific authors, universities and countries, and popular keywords and topics. To achieve this, the paper collects all publications from 1956 to 2023 from the Scopus database, and Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection from 1997 to 2023. Their bibliographic information is analysed using various bibliometric indicators. Additionally, the study creates a visual representation of the bibliographic data using the Visualization of Similarities (VOS) viewer software. This approach encompasses different bibliometric techniques, such as bibliographic coupling, co-citation, and co-occurrence of keywords. The findings reveal a significant growth in the journal over the past few years and its international impact with contributions from various parts of the world. The most productive researchers are based in Germany and Netherlands.5 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Different views of international scientific mobility and collaboration. The case of three peripheral countries in South America: Peru, Colombia and Venezuela(Springer Nature, 2026-01-01)This study examined different facets of scientific mobility, including local, regional and global mobility, as well as international cooperation through an analysis of co-authorship among researchers publishing in the Scopus database. The study focuses on three selected South American countries, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, for the period between 2000 and 2022. The analysis is based on the use of metadata available in the Scopus database for the period 2000 to 2022, the affiliation of the authors of each identified paper was used to analyze scientific mobility flows and also international collaboration, in order to determine the dynamics of internal and international mobility and its impact on peripheral South American countries. This process was analyzed for Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, the main destinations of each country were geolocated and recognizable patterns were established for each of them in the period studied. The analysis indicates that concepts such as brain drain or brain gain, depending on the specific case and historical moment, are more appropriate than brain circulation (scientific mobility), which is applied to the central countries. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Supply Chain Optimization in Manufacturing: An Approach Based on Project Management(2023-12-22)A documentary review was carried out on the production and publication of research papers related to the study of Supply Chain, Manufacturing Industry, project management. The purpose of the bibliometric analysis proposed in this document was to know the main characteristics of the volume of publications registered in the Scopus database during the period between 2017 and 2022, achieving the identification of 321 publications. The information provided by this platform was organized through graphs and figures, categorizing the information by Year of Publication, Country of Origin, Area of Knowledge and Type of Publication. Once these characteristics have been described, the position of different authors on the proposed topic is referenced through a qualitative analysis. Among the main findings made through this research, it is found that India with 66 publications with the highest scientific production registered in the name of authors affiliated with institutions in that country. The Area of Knowledge that made the greatest contribution to the construction of bibliographic material related to the study of supply chain optimization in the manufacturing industry based on project management was offered in the intensive care unit was Engineering with 181 published documents, and the most used Publication Type during the period indicated above were Journal Articles with 54% of the total scientific production. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Transformation of International Trade and Marketing: A Review of the Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Automation(World Scientific, 2026-02-01)This paper examines the current and future trends in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation in marketing and international trade. The main objective is understanding how these technologies transform these fields, identifying the predominant discussions, methodologies employed, and reported results since 2010. To this end, a rigorous and systematic scoping review was conducted using the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. A total of 35 studies published between 2010 and 2023 were selected following a multi-phase screening process based on thematic alignment, methodological rigor, and publication quality. Only peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings published in English were considered. Studies included had to explicitly address AI and automation in marketing or international trade, while descriptive reports or articles lacking analytical depth were excluded. The findings show a trend towards qualitative approaches in studies, emphasising theoretical and conceptual understanding over generating new data. Key themes identified include efficiency in cross-border e-commerce, user knowledge, adaptation to the era of big data and its effects on logistics, and regulatory challenges in the face of AI. These findings underscore the growing importance of AI and automation in marketing and international trade, highlighting opportunities and challenges for businesses and governments in a globalised environment.1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, A bibliometric analysis of research on forest policy in Mexico(Commonwealth Forestry Association, 2026-05-20)Sustainable forest management in Mexico is essential to maintaining the ecosystem services that support both biodiversity and human activities. The objective of this study was to identify the scientific perspective of forest policy in Mexico through a bibliometric analysis based on a literature review technique using quantitative methods. Scientific, academic and technical products indexed in Scopus and Web of Science were analyzed and supplemented with open access data from Google Scholar. The combined use of the three sources provided a broad view of scientific production. A total of 89 documents were found; manuscripts unrelated to the research and duplicates were excluded, resulting in a total of 49 documents for the study. A total of 540 authors contributed, with six documents by a single author. Global scientific output is concentrated in Mexico, United States, Norway and France. Bibliometric analysis concluded that thematic trends show that community forestry, governance, and payments for environmental services dominate the field, with critical debates on policy design and implementation.1
