"Trilce" de César Vallejo y la mujer moderna
(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2023-12-18)
This article interprets Trilce (1922) by César Vallejo as a reaction to the emergence of the modern woman. By linking the analysis of the poems to a historical reconstruction of the changes that were underway in the social positioning of Peruvian women at the beginning of the 20th century, it explores the female figures of the mother, the sexual woman, the woman who has aborted and the voiceless woman, and shows how Trilce relates them to different aspects of time and modernity. Furthermore, it shows how, when facing these figures, the speaker makes himself visible, with bad conscience, as a subject who is not universal, but male. It is also in the face of these female figures that the poems signal that the encounter with the modern woman is what forces their own poetic style towards its most avant-garde innovations.

¿Cómo es el sujeto? Crítica y clínica en los poemas de Oliverio Girondo
(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2022-12-23)
This essay studies the representation of subjectivity in Oliverio Girondo’s poetry based on three types of figurations: the decentering of identity, the crisis of the will and the death drive. The analysis attempts to show, on the one hand, the importance that these representations had in a context that demanded unitary, coherent and productive subjects and, on the other hand, to locate the critique that this poetry addresses to modern reason. The essay lists the strategies elucidated to reconfigure subjectivity before the world, before language and before itself.

La pedagogía de la Madre Tierra: una propuesta reflexiva a partir de las prácticas y testimonios del sabio indígena Abadio Green Stocel
(National Autonomous University of Mexico, 2022-09-14)
This article attempts a philosophical and pedagogical reflection based on an interview that the doctor in education Abadio Green Stocel, of the indigenous Gunadule people and of Panamanian-Colombian nationality, gave to the magazine Luciérnaga-Comunicación, of the Faculty of Audiovisual Communication of the Colombian Polytechnic Jaime Isaza Cadavid and the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Autonomous University of San Luis de Potosí. The interview was published on the magazine’s YouTube page in 2015. To make a hermeneutic commentary on Dr. Green’s thought, I will begin by contextualizing this pedagogical proposal within the context of what the emergence of indigenous artists, writers, academics, and thinkers who think about modernity from ancestral knowledge means for the academic field. Then, I will quote from the mentioned interview to relate his thinking to other pedagogical conceptions of Dr. Green and to reflections by other authors that allow us to outline what we could call an “indigenous research paradigm” and a “Pedagogy of Mother Earth”. These proposals, far from being limited to the ethnic boundaries of indigenous peoples, contain an alternative message to the hegemonic one, that needs to be heard by the whole humanity.

Disarticulation of slavery biopower through biopolitical linkages in Juana Paula Manso's La familia del Comendador (1860)
    (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, 2022-01-01)

A Poet of the Communist Event
    (2023-11-03)
Vallejo is a poet who testifies that something important has taken place in the world. He understood communism as the possibility of reconciling the human being with history, with nature and with himself. If human history was a tale of scarcity and social exploitation, communism could turn it into a productive, just, and egalitarian action. Vallejo celebrated the advances of modernity, but questioned the concentration of capital, the new culture of consumption, and the dominant interests of the centers of power. This chapter addresses how Vallejo’s poetry shows the communist attemp to change the world, but also underlines the painful simulacrum of a set of dark forces that systematically prevent it.
