Item type:Publication, A literature review about professional learning communities(Universidad Austral de Chile, 2024-01-01)The objective of this article is to analyze the scientific production related to professional learning communities (CPA) from 2016 until 2021, from the review and analysis of research. Regarding the methodology, the study responds to the qualitative approach and the literature review method of 61 articles was used. These were analyzed from two categories: Aspects related to the concept of CPA; and Particular features of the CPAs. In this way, the analysis and discussion of results made it possible to specify quantitative elements regarding the articles such as the predominant research method and techniques, main informants, and most cited authors. It is concluded that three perspectives can be established in relation to the concept: Structural; Activity performed; and Objective to be achieved. Finally, in relation to the particular features, five general components can be specified: Guiding vision; Leadership; Practice; Learning; and Support aspects. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Construcción de comunidades de aprendizaje profesional: percepción de líderes escolares de Chile y Perú(Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2025-03-14)The objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions of school leaders regarding the principles and practices that guide the construction and development of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in schools in Chile and Peru. A qualitative methodology with a descriptive scope was employed. Six school leaders were intentionally selected to participate. Data collection was conducted through focus groups, and the analysis was carried out using grounded theory. The results indicate that participants emphasize pedagogical and distributed leadership as key factors in consolidating PLCs, fostering collaboration and critical reflection on teaching practices. It is concluded that PLCs are fundamental in creating collaborative cultures that enhance educational quality, provided that a shared vision of learning is established.1
