Departamento de Economía, 2009)This paper aims to discuss the so-called Guano era from a financial analysis perspective. The target is set on the “Dreyfus contract”, as far as it meant a “turning point” in Peruvian’s fiscal policy. The sad end of such story was the Pacific’s war. As a conclusion, the relationship between Pierola —Minister of Treasury, first, and then Dictator— and Dreyfus&Co. —Peruvian Government’s financial agents— looks like it had been conducted under a political target and not an economical one. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Departamento de Economía, 1991)The new Banking, Financial and Development Institutions Act enacted by the Fujimori administration through legislative decree N° 637 is more than a simple reorganization and amendment to existing laws, posits the author. It actually changes the relationships between the financial sector and economic agents. Organic laws such as the Civil Code, the Civil Procedures Code, the Criminal Code, the Securities and Stock Exchanges Law, the Bankruptcy Law and even the Rentals Law are challenged. The paper questions their intent as these new laws dangerously disrupt the nation’s socioeconomic structure by giving the banking and insurance companies regulator (SBS) powers that previously were wielded by the Central Reserve Bank. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, El Estado Rentista. A clear Colonial State heritage was “the Crown’s royalties” concept used for the properties without owners (res nullius for the Roman law). From this point of view was a financial state. After Independence the Republican finance followed the same path with customs income and indigenous taxes; it was applied for guano and salt. Therefore this paper aims to develop and to study the Peruvian finance till Pacific’s war, roughly for the period 1836-80. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Departamento de Economía, 1992)The sphere of goods in pre-Columbian Central America and the Andes are examined. Both societies were structured around “kinship relations”: the sphere of goods, land in particular, was based on the principle of “non-ownership” but rather sustained by those kinship relations. Both the “ayllu” and the “calpulli” may be regarded as somewhat similar organizations. This paper discusses the changes and exchanges that the arrival of Spanish conquistadors created in those societies’ ownership systems. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
