Item type:Publication, A tertiary study on DevOps adoption(Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao, 2024-01-01)DevOps is the answer to the dysfunctions in the areas of software development and operations, and DevOps has collaboration, productivity and automation as its priorities. Since its appearance, there have been several secondary publications and few tertiary studies, so it is useful to keep a tertiary study on DevOps adoption up to date. The objective of this study is to identify and organize secondary studies on DevOps adoption. To do this, a systematic mapping study was performed. The six databases were consulted and 346 articles were obtained, resulting in 102 secondary studies being selected after the process. The analysis indicates that the most frequently discussed topics are best practices and recommendations for DevOps adoption. The practices that have been most frequently reported are continuous integration and delivery, monitoring, and test automation. Finally, there is a good willingness on the part of the development, operations, and management teams to adopt DevOps in organizations. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, DevOps adoption: A tertiary study(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2024-01-01)DevOps is an approach that has emerged within teams in the context of developing and operating software to drive collaboration and productivity. Many studies have been published on DevOps, however, there are several secondary studies that have not been organized and do not facilitate the identification and evolution of the research areas. This study aims to identify and organize secondary studies on DevOps adoption. To achieve this objective, a tertiary study was performed. In the selection process, 262 articles were obtained from six databases, and 83 articles were selected. Secondary studies have focused their efforts on finding best practices and recommendations for adopting DevOps. Among these practices, continuous integration and delivery, monitoring, and test automation are the most frequently reported. In addition, collaboration, communication, and continuous feedback are considered as important. Finally, there is a predisposition on the part of development, operation, and management teams to adopt DevOps in organizations. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, Knowledge sharing in software development: A tertiary study(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2024-01-01)Knowledge is the most important resource in the field of software development, the success of which is based on the exchange of knowledge among the team members of the software development project. The aim of this research is to provide a catalogue of literature reviews available to researchers and software developers. For this tertiary study, a systematic mapping study was conducted to identify and analyze existing secondary studies on knowledge sharing in software development. After the search process, 11 secondary studies were selected, most of them of type Systematic Literature Review and published in journals. In terms of topics, we mainly find changes in behavior in knowledge sharing factors, challenges, and solutions. Regarding to research topics, we found that the category of behavior change was the most reported. Finally, most of the research questions were exploratory, descriptive subtype and classification. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Item type:Publication, The ISO/IEC 29110–5–1–2 in the capstone project course of Informatic Engineering Program(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2024-01-01)The ISO/IEC 29110 standard has been developed for small organizations and establishes a reasonable minimum set of practices to be performed in small system or software development projects. However, few efforts have been made in the academic context of university adoption. This study assessed compliance with the ISO/IEC 29110 Software Engineering Basic profile practices in a final year course of the informatic engineering program. The course is developed under the project-oriented learning model and is an integrative course at the end of the curriculum. After evaluating five student projects, it is determined that there is a high level of compliance with the Software Engineering Basic profile and that some tasks were difficult to perform: project estimation, project progress, traceability and maintenance documentation. The course had achieved its purpose and some improvements and limitations were identified. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
